Bill Lace is the author of Tears of Esperanza: A Novel of Fury and Passion in Arizona. Tears is his debut novel, but won't be his last. A native of Texas but a proud Arizonan since first moving to the state in 1992, Bill now lives in Scottsdale with his wife and twin children. He is well-traveled throughout Arizona and the West, and the people he has met, the stories they have shared, and the diverse beauty and history of the people and the land provide inspiration for Bill's writing — to paint a broader picture than what is seen through flash videos, to tell a deeper tale than what is heard from sound bites. Bill is active in promoting sensible immigration reform and has written on this topic for Internet sites. Always a fan of fiction that not only tells a great story, but also provides true knowledge, like that by Crichton, and Preston and Child, he has now, with Tears, taken his writing interests on immigration and other Arizona topics into the world of novels. When not writing, traveling, and spending time with his family, Bill is employed as a federal law enforcement special agent
