A very fond memory I have is a vacation my sister and I took to the Berkshire’s Botanical Gardens in Western Massachusetts. The gardens were so warm and inviting in deep verdant green with many flowers. The gardens are very close to the studio of Norman Rockwell. Years ago, the main works of his paintings were on display at the Phoenix Art Museum. It was a grand experience to see them in his home museum. Also on those premises, is his one room studio. It was very small but he produced his works of art very well to the pleasure of many.
A review of art either photographed or written is very fond to me. I like to make photo cards on cream cardstock with my photos and enhance them with poems. My home is my studio…filled with a bit of all I have done through the years: hand made painted pillows and tooth fairy pillows, painted switch plate covers, stain glass panel, tole painted clocks, enlarged photo canvases and many fond photos of memories with family and friends.
Anyone can write…as seen by Stella Marrs
To read is to empower
To empower is to write
To write is to influence
To influence is to change
To change is to live!
Anyone can photograph those special moments…just aim closely and capture that moment with your heart and believe it is meant to be!
The Levity of Java
The chocolate brown java—hot or cold
Warms the palate
Soothes the soul
Kicks the Achilles Tendon
To kick, to strut, to jump for joy!
Upon reaching the stars or running the course
Java lingers and charges the senses to set
The flutter of the heart and instill
Java adds levity from beginning to end.
A shot of caramel or a dose of mocha
The quick step of the soul—
Java comes alive
To brighten the day
While keeping you on course
Not to miss a beat, but to capture the moment.
The hit parade of coffee is welcomed day or night
Come hither or nigh
The levity of Java adds to the jolt of Joy!
