Donna Scott is a California native. She wrote her first poem when she was thirteen years old and several more poems during her twenties. It wasn’t until the millennium that her interest in writing was spurred once again when she became co-editor of the office newsletter for a worldwide law firm where she worked.

She has two fiction novels in various stages of completion and was planning to have one of them published when she got sidetracked  by the addition of a new family member.

A little, long haired Chihuahua puppy changed everything. Sierra with her curious nature and fun-loving attitude inspired Donna to write a children’s book. In 2010, The Adventures of Sierra the Chihuahua, Sierra Wants to Fly was published by Xlibris.

Sierra is a Chihuahua who enjoys her days lying outside in the sunshine in the desert Southwest. One day her friend Rusty stops by to tell her about a trip she’s taking to the lake. Sierra loves adventure and desperately wants to go to the lake with Rusty, but there is one problem. Come take an adventure with Sierra and see what happens!

The Adventures of Sierra the Chihuahua, Sierra Wants to Fly is available through www.Xlibris.com and Amazon.

Donna has been writing the grammar tip in the Club’s monthly newsletter since 2006, and she works full time as a legal assistant in a downtown Phoenix law firm. She and her husband Gary live an active life and are entertained daily by Sierra.
