In my youth, two roads diverged and I took the road of least resistance. The other road, a career in writing, seemed lonely and risky compared to a career in health care. Now I am a striving author.I always assumed the way my favorite authors painted pictures with their words was the motivation for my writing passion. I have come to realize writing for me is more aligned with my quest to make my own contribution to the world.
My writing interests range widely from classics to love stories of the Nicholas Sparks variety. My favorite author is Ivan Doig. I have read WWII novels extensively, which is the time period for the latest book, Aaron’s War.
I am a native Iowan blessed to have lived twenty years in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with my wife Paula. I have two children, two step-children, and now seven grandchildren. Off and on we have lived in Arizona since 2006 with our very spoiled King Charles Cavalier dog, Koko. Before embarking on a writing career, I was a health care executive, heading up three different start-up companies.
