Phoenix Writers Club Author Profile

Laura Nastasia

Laura Nastasia is a Data Engineer who moonlights as a world-builder of myth and magic, where animals serve as guides between life and the great beyond. After growing up in New England and Albany, New York, she followed the sun westward more than twenty years ago and settled in Phoenix, Arizona, where she now lives with her husband, teenage daughter, two dogs, and five mischievous cats. A traveler at heart, Laura has biked the length of the US Pacific coast, pedaled through Italy, and wandered across England, France, Germany, Greece, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean islands.

When not exploring real or imagined worlds, she studies mythology, solves puzzles, and dreams beneath desert skies. Her debut novel reminds readers that love, loyalty, and the mysteries of the afterlife are forever intertwined—paw by paw.
