Bobbie Bennet

Bobbie Bennett was born in Chicago and grew up on a farm in southern Illinois. She swam in the muddy waters of the Wabash River and enjoyed beefsteak tomatoes straight off the vine. In 1971, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Bobbie has been married three times: two of her husbands have passed away, and one marriage ended amicably in divorce. Starting over was never easy, but Bobbie’s determination, grit, and positive spirit enabled her to tackle life’s challenges and overcome adversity.

Bobbie escapes the summer heat by retreating to her cabin in Beaver Valley, a small community in Payson, Arizona. She is the editor of the Beaver Valley Estates monthly bulletin. Bobbie has won first place in an Arizona contest and second place in the nationwide Communications Contest awarded by the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) for a monthly online publication.

Bobbie is the Arizona Professional Writers (APW) vice president and a member of the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers (SSWW), the Arizona Authors Association (AAA), and the Phoenix Writers Club (PWC). She loves performing in live community theater productions and appears in many local commercials. Bobbie also performs with Clean Comedy, a group of stand-up comedians entertaining at community centers throughout the Phoenix area.

When she’s not busy with showbiz roles or writing, Bobbie dedicates special one-on-one Grandma Day outings to each of her grandchildren. These days are filled with fun and excitement. At the end of each year, Bobbie publishes their personal Grandma Day book, filled with pictures and unique comments that only kids can make. In this way, her legacy will live on in their hearts.
