Felicia Penza

Felicia Penza is a writer, performer, and multidisciplinary creative based in Phoenix, Arizona. With a background in editorial design and a lifelong love of storytelling, Felicia’s writing blends personal narrative, cultural observation, and poetic honesty. She is the creator of BLK WRDS, a workshop series that cultivates space for Black writers to explore identity, lineage, and craft in community.

She is also one of the core members of Phoenix Oasis Press, an emerging collective of writers committed to publishing inclusive, thought-provoking work.

Her most recent project is a children’s picture book titled I Will Always Choose You, which is currently live on Kickstarter. The book gently addresses the absence of a biological parent and celebrates the beauty of chosen family.

Felicia’s work was featured in a monologue festival at Invisible Theater in Tucson in 2025, where she was selected as one of the festival’s playwrights. When she’s not writing, Felicia is performing in jazz cabarets, developing her Etsy shop, or helping others shape their stories through design and creative coaching.
