Phoenix Writers Club Author Profile

Robert A. Saigh

I have been writing since I was 14 years old and have been professionally editing, and indexing since the late 1980s. (I also have been professionally photographing since the ’70s.) Having taught classes in writing, grammar, composition, and editing. I understand style, writer’s block, and more. I can be a strict grammarian when requested (further vs. farther anyone?) and love words, especially their etymologies.

For instance, dandelion comes from the French dens de lion, which means teeth of the lion. Goodbye comes from the old way of saying God Be With Ye.

Robert is a voracious and omnivorous reader, plays a mean guitar, and loves to laugh. I also like alliteration, which can be effective when used as a spice.

Robert plans to have three novels self-published this year. Stay tuned. Read his posts on LinkedIn for more information.
