Louise J. Privette, a retired school psychologist and adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University, is the co-author of Dancing Through Life: A Memoir. She served as executive editor of the fifth Inkslingers anthology Many Worlds, Many Stories.

Louise holds a doctorate in counseling psychology from Argosy University. She earned her
undergraduate degree in psychology and her master’s plus certification at Arizona State
University.

As the 2015–16 president of the Arizona Association of School Psychologists (AASP), Louise
wrote a monthly column for Intervention, the official newsletter of AASP. During her thirty years
as a school psychologist, she published Freudian Slips, a monthly newsletter for the faculty. In 2001, Louise received the Arizona School Psychologist of the Year award from AASP.

In her spare time, Louise enjoys ballroom dancing, oil painting, serving as a Goodyear Arts
Commissioner, and traveling with her husband, John, a Southwest pilot and retired Air Force
