Join us on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. As usual, we will meet at the Devonshire Senior Center, 2802 E. Devonshire Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85016, to connect and catch up on club activities.
For our June Meeting, Kolby Granville will discuss the inside track of submitting to literary magazines,
including Substack. He will answer some common questions, including:
- What are editors looking for?
- How can your submission rise to the top of the acceptance process?
- Should you start your own Substack, and how do you grow it?
Kolby Granville (Founder, Editor-in-Chief of After Dinner Conversations) is
a lawyer, teacher, traveler, writer, and trail runner. He spent 5 years teaching Socratic
discussion classes based on primary-source literature and just finished 3.5 years
traveling the world across 20 countries and living the digital nomad life. He now works
with his sister as a lawyer at Granville Law, doing indigent criminal defense. In 2025,
Chillsubs members voted Kolby the #2 “Best Lit Mag Editor.” Members previously rated
After Dinner Conversation, “Top 10 LitMag of 2023, 2024.”
